Tornado Hits Missouri

A tornado hit Joplin, Mo, on sunday night. It was really bad. It knocked out a hospital and so many deaths across the city. Could you imagine being that hospital and having to evacuate when you are sick? Plus it caught fire after it was abandoned. And most of the phone lines were cut off. About 30 people died from the tornado. They say on a 1-10 scale it is a 8 or 9 for damage and bad. The High School had broken windows and parts of the roof was missing. The church across the street was completely destroyed.

What happened is terrible. Especially with the hospital, having to have everyone get out of that hospital. Even people couldn't walk, or people too ill. I could imagine being there and having to leave. And then having it burn down would just crush me. I feel so bad for those 30 people and their families. I hope they rest in peace.

4 questions that I don't know

  • 1 - What do you think the global average temperature is?  This means the average for everywhere on Earth, day and night, for an entire year.  Explain why you answered what you did. Answer- 98.6 because its the temperature of our body and it seems relative to the earth.
  • 2 - People are often talking about "global warming."  How much do you think the average global temperature has increased in the past 100 years?  Do you think that this is a lot? Answer- 42.8 degrees up. I think its a lot.
  • 3 - What do you think is the hottest the Earth has ever been? (since there has been an atmosphere?)  How about the coldest the Earth has ever been?  Explain why you answered what you did. Answer- 120 degrees for the hottest and -120 degrees for the coldest. Because like australia is really hot and its been way up there and for the coldest i'm thinking about antarctica and the ice age and how those places are so cold.
  • 4 - Are you concerned about "global warming?"  Why or why not? Answer- yes because the atmosphere gets warmer and thats bad. Its hurting the animals and making more animals endangered and the water levels are rising, and that means that there will be less land because the water will take it over and we will get gills and become sea creatures.

the party (or parties) at fault for the gulf oil spill

I am doing the party (or parties) at fault for the gulf oil spill. I think there are many people at fault here. Like, BM managment because they should of known what to do if this happens and they should make sure everything is and will work. Another one is The president of BM because he is the big man of this operation and its funny how a month after this started happening, he quit. I think he knew that some of this was his responsibility and he didn't want everyone to come running at him, telling him to fix it and how he ruined the ocean so he just quit. Also I think we are at some fault because we told them to do it and we were the ones who wanted the oil so bad that we didn't care that that might happen, reckon I bet we didn't even think of this happening but still, we told them to so we are at fault too. I think all these 3 parties had some fault in the operation.
